QATAR PNEW 500 RIYAL ND (2007)

11 Oct, 2007 - Qatar Central Bank, as first reported on 10 Oct, has issued new 100, and 500 Riyal notes. The notes were issued on 26.9.2007, printer: de la rue, and bear the signatures of Abdullah Saud Al-Thani und Yousef Hussein Kamal. The notes are paper, but with a wide polymer strip. 10 Oct, 2007 - Qatar will introduce modifications to their 100- and 500-riyal notes. For these notes they will adopt the feature whereby a hole in the centre of the note and plastic tape will be applied to both sides of the note, creating a clear window with a pattern on the see-through area. (The pattern is applied to the tape.) It is not known when these notes will be placed into circulation. Compliments of Claudio Marana.
