31 Aug, 2007 - The Bank of Papua New Guinea has issued a new 20 Kina note, dated 2007 with Signature 11, Kamit / Tossali. Prefix BP = Deputy Governor of the Bank of Papua New Guinea, Mr. Benny Popoitai. Compliments of Thomas Krause. |


27 Jun, 2007 - The Bank of Papua New Guinea will issue a new 2007 XIII South Pacific Games K5 Commemorative Banknote. This note will be legal tender from Wednesday 20th June 2007. Compliments of Ronny Hick. |

27 Jun, 2007 - Papua New Guinea: A previously unreported 5 Kina note P13 bearing the Signatures of the Governor, Leonard Wilson Kamit, and Secretary, Simon Tasali (Sign.11) has been reported by Kai. The signature is not reported in the SCWPM, VOL III, 13th Ed. It has been suggested that the STK05 in the Serial Number
could be an indication of an abbreviation of the signers, and the year. Any discussions? |

09 Jun, 2007 - Papua New Guinea: A new 2 Kina Polymer note has been released featuring the National Parliment Building. Reverse is similar to P21. Note bears the signatures of L. Silson Kamit, Governor, and Simon Tosali, Secretary, Department of Treasury. Compliments of Claudio Marana, Kai, and Paul Nahmais. |

10 Mar, 2007 - Papua New Guinea: New dates of 5 Kina – 2002, 10 kina – 2002, 20 kina – 2003, 20 kina – 2002 (paper), and 50 kina – 2002 have been reported for Papua New Guinea by Rafal Nogowczyk. 22 Jul, 2006 - Thomas Kruase has kindly given us his permission to reprint a Signature Chart for Papua New Guinea. The chart which appears in the SCWPM, VOL III, 12th Ed. does not contain the names of the signers. |

The Central Bank has launched the NEW K100 banknote .The National Crest and the National Parliament building appear on the front of the note to symbolise Nationhood and Unity, while the designs on the back of the note trace developments over 30 years in agriculture, fishing, forestry, oil and gas, mining, tourism, transportation and communication and other technological developments. |
