13 Sep, 2007 - The National Bank of Hungary has released a new date of 2007 on it's P187 200 Forint note. No changes, but new signature combination. Compliments of Michael Reissner. 31 Aug, 2007 - Hungary: As first reported on 21 Jun, 2007 as of September 1, the National Bank of Hungary's (MNB) decision to withdraw Ft 1,000 banknotes issued before 2006 will become final, meaning that only new Ft 1,000 banknotes, which feature two key security features, can be legally accepted by retailers. 21 Jun, 2007 - Hungary: Withdrawal of notes. All 1,000 forint notes issued between 1998 and 2005, without the holographic band, are being recalled and will cease to be legal tender as of September. 14 Jan, 2007 - National Bank of Hungary has released a new 5,000, and 10,000 Forint note dated 2006. Notes are similar to P191 and 192, but new date, and new Signatures (Péter Adamecz, Zsigmond Járai, Dr. György Surányi). Compliments of Andrea Maci. |
