12 Jul, 2007 - Hong Kong: With its thriving economy, Hong Kong is taking on new looks everyday, and now, so is its currency. The Hong Kong SAR government has issued the first batch of plastic banknotes with face values of 10 Hong Kong dollars. The notes were issued by HSBC. |

18 Jun, 2007 - The Hong Kong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation has released a new 20 Dollar, 01.01.2006, Similar to P207 but with the change in he signature title of "EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR". 18 Jun, 2007 - Hong Kong: The new $10 Polymer banknote due on 09 July, 2007, will bear the signatures of The Finance Secretary – Henry Tang Ying-yen, and The Monetary Authority – Joseph Yam Chi-kwong, compliments of Kai. 15 Jun, 2007 - Hong Kong: As first reported on 12 Mar, 2007, Hong Kong will issue a new polymer $10 banknote. It has now been announced by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) that the note will be released to circulation on 09 July 2007. The note is similar in design to the P400, with a date of 01 Apr 2007, and a new signature combination. Compliments of the HKMA website. 05 Jun, 2007 - Hong Kong: More than HK$11 million worth of HK$1,000 banknotes issued by the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation in 2000 and 2002 have been recalled since Hong Kong was hit by a spate of counterfeit notes discovered in March. |

05 May, 2007 - Hong Kong: The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation of Hong Kong has released a 50 Dollar banknote with the date of 01.01.2006. As with the new 100 Dollar note, reported on 22 Mar, 2007, the 50 Dollar has a new signature, and title, "Executive Director". Compliments of Michael Reissner. |
