Greenland will introduce in the future it's own notes and coins. Both Greenland and the Faeroe Islands wants into the EFTA Copenhagen. These are two of the results of the recent meeting between of Denmark Prime Minister Fogh Rasmussen and the head of the governments of the two island states belonging to Denmark, Hans Enoksen and Jóannes Eidesgaard. Another topic of the meeting on Tuesday in the Danish Kollund was the creation of an entrance for Greenland and Foeroe Islands goods into the European Union, to which both countries do not belong. Probably in 2008 money of Greenland will enter circulation on par with the Danish Kronor. The Faeroe Islands already has their
own currency.
