26 Sep, 2007 - Brunei: A new Brunei 1 Ringgit 26.9.2007 Banknote has been reported to us bearing the portrait of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah on the front, and riverside simpur plant,rain forest waterfall at back. BRUNEI PNEW 1,000 Ringitt 2007

22 Jun, 2007 - The Brunei Currency and Monetary Board yesterday issued a new $1,000 polymer banknotes for circulation. These new polymer banknotes will circulate side by side with the present B$ 1,000 paper banknotes. Both will remain legal tender in Brunei Darussalam and in countries that accept them. 09 Jun, 2007 - Brunei and Singapore are both intending to issue a new banknote to commemorate the 40th Ann. of the Currency Interchangeability Agreement. No other information is available at this time. Compliments of Kai.

28 Dec, 2006 - Starting today, Brunei will have two new currency notes replacing the old $500 and $10,000 notes.
