07 Aug, 2007 - Central Bank of Bahrain will issue new banknotes and coins before the end of this year, sources told the paper Akhbar Al Khaleej. The bank, however, ruled out the idea of issuing BD50 banknotes as this may cause inflation, they said. Source: Gulf Daily News.
21 Dec, 2006 - Bahrain: 1/4 dinar bills are worthless. The Central Bank of Bahrain has ceased to redeem the old "Bahrain Monetary Authority" notes of 1/4 dinar. All older notes of
